A week on Sunday, 20th October, from 11am at Lowdham Village Hall we will be launching a new event our Harvest Festival – a celebration of all things autumnal. There will be competitions to enter, stalls to visit, activities to take part in for both children and adults, demonstrations to watch, autumn fruit and vegetables to see, pumpkins and refreshments (hot soup and bread, cakes, teas, coffees). Please come along and support this new event. Entries on the day from 11am to be judged at 1.30pm. Donations of cakes as ever most welcome for the refreshments. Please spread the word.
A Sunny Reminder
The hazy days of late August now seem like the distant past, so as the autumn showers begin to make their presence felt we’ve added a new gallery to the website with some of our favourite memories from this year’s Summer Show.
You can find the gallery in the menu bar at the top of the page, or via this link.

In Memorandum – Fred Jervis
A former Lowdham resident and life member of Lowdham Horticultural Society, Fred Jervis, has recently died aged 88.
Fred was an active member of the Society for many years, some local residents might remember his small allotment at the side of the W I Hut.
Due to relocation at work Fred and Joan left Lowdham for Lincolnshire where he promptly set about creating a lovely new garden. His love of gardening, vegetables and flowers kept him going for many years.
