EVENING VISIT THURSDAY 15th SEPTEMBER
Tomorrow we have an evening visit to Riseholme, a NGS garden at Radcliffe on Trent. Having spoken to the garden owner, Elaine, this morning, we have decided to bring forward the time of the visit to 6.15 as it is now nearly dark by 8pm. If we meet at 6pm at Lowdham Village Hall to share cars, or 6.15pm at the garden ready to start. We will look at the garden first and then have refreshments afterwards. Anyone who isn’t able to make it this earlier, just join us when you can. Please tell anyone that you know is coming of these changes as I am aware not everyone is on email.
The cost of this visit is subsidised by LHS at £3 for members or £5 for non-members. If you are no longer able to come or would now like to join us, please let me know via the website, ASAP so that Elaine has an idea of numbers for refreshments.
The address of the garden is Riseholme, 125 Shelford Road, Radcliffe on Trent, Notts, NG12 1AZ.

FORTHCOMING VISITS
We still have a few spaces left on our next coach trip
On Sunday 12th June, we will be visiting Scampston Walled Garden near Malton in Yorkshire. It is reputed to be is a stunningly beautiful contemporary garden, quite unlike any other. Designed by the renowned Dutch plantsman, Piet Oudolf, and featuring modern, perennial meadow planting alongside more traditional areas, which is said to be one of the most exciting survivals of the great age of Victorian gardening. There is a tea room, shop and plant centre too.
On the day we are visiting there is also a Vintage Fair held in the surrounding parkland, which we will have complimentary access into. The cost of the trip is very reasonable at £14 for members and £18 for non-members (this includes transport and entry into the garden). It would be great to take a coach full and all are welcome.
